“Wonderful stop en route to New Mexico. Enjoyed the sitting area in addition to our bedroom. Quiet!, comfortable, breakfast amenities, and the patio was a lovely place to sit. Gareth was a great host, including offering us ice to re-cool our cooler. So glad we spent the night here!”
“We had a fantastic time here. Plenty of food, snacks. We had run of the whole Hotel. Cooked our own breakfast and dinner one night. They have drinks and snacks for your stay. I gave it 5 stars. Friendly staff.”
“My wife & I stayed one night at the Hotel Texan & really enjoyed it. The hotel has alot of history & it was super clean. It is better than some high end chain hotels. The staff was great & it was a charming place. Reminds me of the good old days.”
“The Owner is awesome...our first night we didnt have power due to a freak storm and small tornado but it was still very comfortable, and cozy... this house has alot of pretty neat history and Garret can tell you stories or you can read the articles posted on the walls, as you look around...we cooked our own meals, you have access to a gas grill out back and microwave in the kitchen, where there are snacks and juices, coffee plus other goodies...we were here working but this place really helped us enjoy working out of town cause it has the comforts of being home...”
“A historical marker on the exterior of Hotel Texan denotes the historic nature of this hotel. Everything in the room works (refrigerator, electric fireplace, flat screen TV) and is clean. This is not a contemporary or upscale hotel, but we enjoyed the stay, especially with the antiques and quaint atmosphere. While you're in town, check out the Museum for Loop and Seagraves, which is conveniently located about a block down on Main Street. The large display related to Quanna Parker and American Indian artifacts were impressive. Many other items of interest as well. We also recommend the pizza and ice cream place located next door to the hotel.”
“We can’t recommend Hotel Texan enough! What started as a backup plan for a concert in Lubbock turned into a highlight of our trip. The owner and his front desk staff are absolutely incredible! Their hospitality went far beyond the norm, making us feel genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. The hotel has so much vintage charm and character. If you’re anywhere near the area, stay here! We certainly will be coming back!”
“My husband and I stayed here as part of our vacation travel going home. This hotel was such a treat! It is quaint, quiet, clean and very comfy.”
